GP2

Shore Hardness: ~65A (firm)

Sheet Dimensions: Each sheet measures 5.9 in (15 cm) wide × 27.5 in (70 cm) long, providing ample material for multiple resoles or custom projects.

  1. Feel & Performance: GP2 is built for all-around performance. It’s the most firm rubber in the GP series, but it’s still a soft rubber being slightly softer compared to other Italian sole manufacturers. GP2 gives climbers the support they need on micro-edges and vertical terrain, while remaining perfect for competition, board, and outdoor styles of climbing. While it doesn’t have the ultra-soft stickiness of GP1/GP1-PRO, it still carries RATOM’s signature sticky feel thanks to the racing-slick base material.

  2. Best For: Steep, technical climbing and outdoor routes where edging precision and durability matter most. Perfect for climbers who burn through softer rubbers too quickly.

  3. Notes: GP2 sacrifices some smearing performance (compared to GP1), but its control, stability, and long wear life make it a workhorse for advanced boulderers and sport climbers alike.
